Founded by Joe and Marie Flanagan in the early 1970s, the Silken Thomas on Kildare Town’s Market Square has grown from a small pub into a complex of traditional bars, a restaurant and guest rooms. Close to Kildare Castle’s surviving tower and minutes from Kildare Village, it is a lively base with live entertainment in the evenings.
