Dingle Peninsula

A Gaeltacht peninsula of wild cliffs, fishing villages and Ireland’s most famous dolphin.

Dingle Peninsula

The Dingle Peninsula is the westernmost point in Europe, a Gaeltacht coast of beehive huts, famine cottages and sheer cliffs above the Blasket Islands. The town of Dingle itself is a fishing port turned food and music hub.

What to do

Drive the Slea Head Drive, walk to the summit of Mount Brandon, take the ferry to the Great Blasket, and look out for Fungie the dolphin in the harbour.
