Who we are
Ireland360 (ireland360.ie) is a travel guide to all 32 counties of Ireland, run by Dermot Murphy, trading as Ireland360, Dublin, Ireland, who is the data controller for this website. Contact: info@dublin-360.com.
What we collect
- Browsing the site: we don't ask you to register and we don't run advertising trackers. Our web host (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, including IP address, browser and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
- Your cookie choice: stored in your own browser (see the cookie policy).
- Chat assistant: if you consent and use the chat, your messages are processed by Chatbase to generate answers. Please don't share sensitive information in the chat.
- Maps, videos and widgets: if you consent or click to load them, Google (Maps and YouTube) or Travelpayouts receive your IP address and may set cookies.
- Analytics: with your consent, Google Analytics 4 collects pseudonymous usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location).
- Emails to us: if you email us, we use your details only to reply.
Why, and our legal basis
- Running and securing the website: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Maps, chat, embedded content and analytics: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in cookie settings.
- Replying to your enquiries: legitimate interests.
Bookings and affiliate links
We don't take bookings or payments. When you follow a link to book a tour or a place to stay (for example GetYourGuide, Booking.com or a tour operator), you deal directly with that company and its privacy policy applies. We may earn a commission; partners report bookings to us without your personal details.
Sharing and transfers
We use these processors: Hostinger (hosting, EU and UK servers), Chatbase (chat), Google (maps, video, analytics). Where a provider transfers data outside the EEA, it relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a short period by our host. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Consent choices stay in your browser until you clear them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent. Email info@dublin-360.com. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes, and show the date at the top.
