Started by Mick and Valerie Dolan in a small quayside pub in the 1990s, Dolan’s has grown into one of Ireland’s best-known music venues, hosting acts from Sharon Shannon to Fontaines D.C. The traditional front bar hosts free Irish music sessions from 9pm several nights a week, alongside a restaurant and three live venues.

Saw King of Thrash and Benediction here and had an absolute blast both times. Brilliant little venue for metal gigs — you can get ridiculously close to the bands and the atmosphere is always great. The food is surprisingly good too. Great gigs, great food, great spot. 🤘naomi zong · 5★
