Wicklow rises almost immediately south of Dublin into the granite uplands of the Wicklow Mountains. Its glacial valleys, blanket bogs and forest parks earn it the nickname ‘the Garden of Ireland’.
What to do
Walk the Spinc above Lough Dan, explore the monastic city of Glendalough, and visit Powerscourt Gardens and the seaside town of Greystones.
